Week Six

The process of to the final image:

 Mirrored the juxtaposing polar bears.

Drawing the puppet on illustrator.

Drew an iceberg for the "scene" and painted it in Photoshop.

Setting it up but the composition feels awkward.

 Much better.

Adding the camera crew silhouette that was drawn in Illustrator.

Looked a little dull so I clipped in newspaper textures and played with layer styles.

Drawing the helpless victim following the pose of an image I found on Google.

The scene is starting to form really well but I have to do something about the background.

I chose to do a yellow sky as I felt that blue would've bled into the ocean.

Adding a pile of bones behind the bear.

The billboard that serves as the divider between deception and the horrible truth.

Finishing touches.

Voila!

Week Five

I wasn't able to come to class today due to personal circumstances, however I did spend my day taking a step back and reviewing my conspiracy theory.

After sharing on the Facebook group I was quick to reconsider some aspects of my theory as instructed by my tutor. I will also no longer be working on portrait format.

Week Four

Interim

Today we presented our rough finals for class.

The bear drawing was scanned in and redrawn on Illustrator, so were the money bags and melting ice cube. Afterwards all individual elements were painted in Photoshop including the background.

At the critique I had not realised that we were meant to be setting up a scene and not just a poster like image but I was glad to have clarified that today.

Week Three

I have decided I will be using mainly Photoshop and Illustrator for my illustration.

Below is more thumbnail drawings

The tutor told me to try and create a juxtaposed image wherein we see both sides of the polar bear, good and bad. I am still undecided as to whether I should have this at portrait or landscape format.

In class we did some colour studies using still shots from films.

"Why so serious?"
